Many of our employees joined the company following their parents and grandparents. In the Uralkali Museum it is possible to trace the history of several dozen dynasties of potash workers. We are sincerely grateful to the people for their loyalty and aim to maintain this by creating favourable conditions for the younger generation.

  • In 2018, Uralkali continued to support physical culture and sports in local communities.
  • In Berezniki, funds were allocated for the purchase of equipment for the creation of a robotics laboratory, 3-D modeling and prototyping based on the Center for Childrens (Youth) Scientific and Technical Creativity, where 550 students will be engaged.
  • In 2018, the Company allocated funds for a New Years ice town and a skating rink in the center of Solikamsk, and also donated an artificial fir tree and a winter modular collapsible slide to the city, which can be used annually.
  • With the funds of Uralkali a rotunda was installed in the city park of culture and recreation in Berezniki.
  • In the summer holidays, the company initiated a game program for children with elements of health protection Summer Fun, in which they took part in 6,000 preschoolers of the cities of Berezniki and Solikamsk.
  • The implementation of the project Potassium-Basket: 24 basketball centers, 25 coaches, has 1,550 children.
  • In the summer, a training camp was organized in Zarechny, Penza Region, in which 127 children took part.
  • On the territory of the cities of Berezniki and Solikamsk, sports camps for daytime stay were held training camps for 113 young basketball players. The project also continued to improve the material base of the basketball centers: the necessary equipment and sports equipment, 2,248 sets of sportswear were purchased.
  • In 2018, the Company allocated funds for a New Years ice town and a skating rink in the center of Solikamsk.

Young people

Uralkali creates an effective and multi-level system of training and retraining of highly qualified specialists for the potash industry.

University scholarships have been provided since 2006 as part of the cooperation agreement between the Company, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, and its branch in Berezniki.

The amount of the scholarship is RUB 3,000 and it is awarded based on the results of each term. Maintaining high performance, conducting scientific research related to the areas of activities of the enterprise, successful passing of the working practice, and participating in the public life of the university are the general criteria of a potential candidate.

In 2018, scholarships were awarded to students who were trained in professions Uralkali required: Production Machines and Equipment, Chemical Technology, and Automation of Technological Processes and Productions.

Uralkali provides scholarships to students studying in Berezniki Polytechnic College and in Solikamsk Mining and Chemical College as well.

Even more than that, Uralkali helps the university to improve its material and technical base by means of allocating funds for grants which are distributed among teachers to carry out research work, as well as for equipping laboratories.

From 2012 to 2018, Uralkali allocated more than RUB 29 million for the development of Perm National Research Polytechnic Universitys branch in Berezniki.

We fully realise that no achievement or economic benefit may justify death of people or damage to human health and the environment of our planet. Each and every employee of OJSC Uralkali has the right to be provided with safe and comfortable conditions of labour. With that, the Company expects that every employee will strictly abide by safety regulations and will demonstrate responsible attitude towards own and fellow colleagues life and health.
